An RNLI Lifeboat passes behind Swanage Lifeboat Station and in front of the Isle of Wight. Taken from Peveril Point in Dorset.
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution is a charitable organisation for saving lives at sea. They receive no government funding. The lifeboats are crewed by volunteers who risk their lives to save those in mortal peril. Seriously, if you ever spend time near the sea in the UK, pop over to their website and give them a few quid.
