The coastal road between San Rafael and Cannes in the south of France is one of the best roads I’ve had the pleasure of driving. The route takes you along the coast around the edge of the Esterel massif, these beautiful volcanic mountains that are an amazing red colour.

About a third of the way along the route, you come to Pointe du Petit Caneiret, a little outcrop where you can grab some interesting photos, or just breathe in the heady Mediterranean air.
