I was astounded to discover this year's Giants of Steam features 4 newly built steam locos, recreating examples of classes with no survivors. Some use scavenged parts from similar engines, but 60163 Tornado was built completely from scratch.

Yep, and Tornado, despite being finished in 2008, is the oldest of the locomotives running. I was at Giants of Steam again this year and am hoping to release the photos to my main site at the end of next week.
