The Verdon Gorge – known as the French Grand Canyon – is one of the more impressive sights I’ve seen. Here, the canyon is beginning to open out shortly before it hits Lac de Sainte-Croix. The water is a brilliant clear blue, even on the misty, rainy grey day we visited it on.
