A shot of the moon from back in March 2011 when we had the so-called “Super Moon”. Restricted as I was back then to a 250mm telephoto this image has also been heavily cropped to make the Moon fill the frame (it is, sadly, only a one megapixel image now).

Thanks – the good thing about the moon is you (usually) are going to get a chance to have another go if your shots don’t turn out (although the other week I messed up a golden opportunity; the moon was flanked by Jupiter and Venus and the ISS sailed right by them, but the shots just didn’t work out).
