In Whitehall, London, there stands a cenotaph; a memorial to those fallen in the world wars. On 11th November, the anniversary of the end of the First World War, two minutes’ silence is held at 11am to remember those killed and injured, and on Remembrance Sunday a ceremony is held at the Cenotaph.
